Submit Your Improvement Ideas

Do you have ideas on how to improve Universal? Use your ingenuity and innovation and let us know your ideas on:

• Process Improvements (i.e., improvements in efficiency and effectiveness in business, customer, manufacturing, or other processes)
• Cost-Reduction (i.e., suggestions for cost-reduction related to Product or Operational costs)
• Quality Improvements (i.e., suggestions for improvements to efficiency or performance to increase quality)
• Other  (i.e., suggestions to improve Safety, Communication, Environmental, etc.)
• General Comments

What’s in it for You?

For those that submit an idea:

• 4 monthly winners of a $100 Amazon Gift Card (or equivalent), chosen randomly

If your suggestion/idea is chosen:

• You will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and a mention at the quarterly ECM meeting (if desired).
• A cross-functional project team will be formed, and all members (including the person submitting the idea) will receive between *2-5 days of additional PTO at the project’s close. {*based on the time/cost savings} 

What happens after I submit an idea?

• Your ideas will go to the Voice of U Committee for review, and you will be updated on the status within 30 days of submission. The committee will use the following evaluation criteria to choose ideas to pursue: the problem to be solved; the cost or time-savings potential; the barriers to implementation; and the means to measure success. Once ideas are chosen, cross-functional teams will be formed to pursue, collaborate and implement them, and the members will be awarded as stated above.
