Silicon Valley Technology Introduces Universal Instruments’ SMT and AI Production Lines

Silicon Valley Technology, a leading OEM company, has recently successfully introduced Universal Instruments’ surface mount platform and through-hole insertion machines to help automate its production lines to maintain its leading position in the industry.

May 14, 2008 - Based in Taiwan, Silicon Valley firmly upheld the principle of producing “high quality products with great efficiency” which has won the company numerous customers in Taiwan, Japan, the United States and Europe.

“Our commitment to manufacture products with the highest quality enables us to establish a strong foothold in the electronics manufacturing industry. We have then gradually become one of the leading OEM companies in the industry,” said Mr Lei Hong Feng, Project Manager of Silicon Valley.

“To maintain our competitive edge, we look for working partners who are both professional and quality-driven and can grow with us,” said Mr Lei.

As Silicon Valley has recently received orders to produce LED products which required both surface mount and insertion machines, the company begun to look for suppliers who could have both types of machines on offer.

“We have short listed Universal Instruments. Not only because it is one of the only two suppliers which manufacture both types of machines, but also of its good reputation in the industry,” Mr Lei continued.

Silicon Valley finally decided to work with Universal Instruments as they were strongly impressed by the outstanding performance of the Universal Instruments’ machines as well as its excellent after sales services.

“Since the running of the new production lines, we are very happy with the line performance which helps us automate our assembly lines and save manpower. The AdVantis platform AX-72E is really good value for money,” said Mr Lei.

The mid-market AdVantis series of Universal Instruments is a value-driven platform. In addition, AX-72E comes with multiple placement heads and a dispense head to deliver two technologies on the same platform to improve utilization and enhance versatility. Meanwhile, the feeder of the Radial 8XT through-hole machine is highly scalable.

Founded in 1980, Silicon Valley was initially focusing on semiconductor. The company later set up a branch company and a production plant in mainland China in 1993 and 1996 respectively, expanding into OEM business and the development of plastic kits and injection. It is now expanding fast in mainland China.
